WHAT IS IT?: Pluto TV is a free ad-supported streaming television service with over 205 channels and large variety of film and tv shows available on demand. PLUTO TV is owned and operated by the Paramount Streaming division of Paramount Global.












WHAT DID I DO?
As a member of the launch team, I was able to spend over 5 years as the Director of Editorial at Pluto TV. I watched the free service grow from a backroom start up to an innovative multi channel, multi platform entertainment service. Pluto TV lead the way for streaming tv, programmatic OTT advertising, FAST channel distribution and the explosion of videos and media brands as the main medium of the internet.

While in this role, I managed a small creative team of curators who were local and remote to the main office. Our responsibility centered around creating, programming and analyzing over 250 linear and on demand tv channels featuring live news, sports, and feature films and tv shows mixed with the most viral and cutting edge media from the internet.
We also partnered with 100s of leading legacy and new media companies such as Sony, MGM, NBC, HULU, CBS, Bloomberg, Conde Nast and Jukin Media (to name a few) to create branded partner and topical "pop-up" channels based on viewer demand, current events and large scale media campaigns.


Along the way I was fortunate enough to help managed an international team of developers, editors, marketing campaigns due to my close relationship with both the content experience and the product experience. Most importantly, the select few of us present at the beginning were able to set the viewing, revenue, and operational objectives for each channel and genre vertical. Our mix of old school tv broadcasting combined with irreverent marathons of pop culture became the gold standard for FAST TV channel offerings to this day.
