WHAT DID I DO?
As Head of Programming it was my job to over see all operational, creative, editorial activities for Gunpowder & Sky's two genre brands, DUST and ALTER. I oversaw the independent film and TV studio’s content and monetization strategies for owned and operated (O&O) entertainment brands, films, scripted and unscripted tv series and podcasts.
My first step was the expand the sci fi brand, DUST, from a short film distributor on YouTube to a full fledge media studio and platform. To accomplish this, I created and implemented an omni-channel publishing strategy for DUST. First step was to design and launch a dedicated ad supported streaming app and website featuring the best DUST films along with iconic licensed films and tv shows such as "Star Trek". This streaming platform was available on ROKU and Apple. We followed the app with a widely distributed FAST TV channel. Multiple TV and Feature Film acquisitions, and the launch of a sci-fi podcast. These efforts turned DUST into the #1 SciFi brand in the US.
